Blending jazz, classical, and the folk traditions of his native Spain, guitarist and composer Oscar Pe\u00f1as<\/strong> has established a unique voice in modern jazz. Born in Barcelona and now based in Brooklyn, since 2007, he has created deeply personal, story-driven compositions that reflect his multicultural background and passion for innovation. A graduate of Berklee and the New England Conservatory, Pe\u00f1as has led acclaimed groups and collaborated with legends like Mike Stern, Greg Leisz, Ron Carter, Gil Goldstein, Esperanza Spalding, and Paquito D’Rivera. His upcoming suite, “Remote Hoods,” commissioned by the New York State Council on the Arts, celebrates the diversity of New York City. With performances at top venues and an expanding discography, Pe\u00f1as continues to push creative boundaries.<\/p>\n
